Life at Desert Marigold extends beyond the classroom. Our after-school programs, performances, festivals, and community events enrich student learning and bring our school community together.

After School Programs

Our after-school programs provide additional enrichment opportunities for students to pursue their interests and develop new skills. Programs vary by semester based on student interest and teacher availability.

Chess Club

Grades 1-8

Strategic thinking and problem-solving through the ancient game of chess.

Drama Club

Annual Events & Festivals

Waldorf education honors the rhythms of the year through seasonal festivals and celebrations. These community gatherings create shared experiences and traditions that connect our school family.

Fall Festival

A beloved community celebration featuring games, crafts, performances, and seasonal activities. Our biggest community gathering of the year.

Winter Spiral

December

A quiet, reverent celebration of the winter solstice. Children walk a spiral of evergreen boughs, each lighting a candle in the darkness.

Each class presents at least one theatrical production per year, from simple fairy tales in early grades to Shakespeare in high school.

May Faire

Celebrating spring with maypole dancing, games, music, and outdoor festivities. A joyful close to the school year.

Eighth Grade Play
